Ignoring the size on the tag...

I had no intention of posting this dress, or even posting at all today (please don't expect daily posts, my life is not THAT interesting), I didn't intend to dip into any previous outfits for this blog but I've gotten a few inquires on my dress I posted on IG & FB Saturday night from a 80's party I went to.

The REAL reason I wanted to highlight this ASOS dress I purchased last summer (currently sold out) is because it comes from ASOS straight sizes. This dress below is a size 12 and I'm NOT a size 12.

I've always shopped in Non-Plus size sections of stores and always assumed full figured women knew it was an option. If you look at the material and cut of a garment, you should generally be able to tell if it fits before even trying it on. A lot of clothes made from viscose, elastin and spandex have a great amount of stretch (sometimes up to 4-5 size the actual size listed).

I can't guarantee it will fit or is altogether comfortable, but if you don't mind form fitting styles (clearly I love em) and showing off your curves, venture out of the "Plus Size Only" section and see what you can find.

A few popular stores I've run across that are not defined as Plus-Size yet have a wide range in certain styles.

Express
Old Navy
Bebe
Gap
H&M

I encourage you to still try something on if you're not sure and know you're measurements. That's the best way until you're comfortable and sure you know your body and how clothes fit you.

Make-Up: Naked foundation in #11 by Urban Decay, blush is Peachy Keen by Mac, & Bronzer is Mineralized Skin finish by Mac in color Deep. Lashes & lip gloss I don't remember....

I PROMISE I'm actually getting a camera soon, these phone pics are driving me nuts!!! lol

OOTD... Church flow

I got this dress last month from Tar'ge (Target) and I've been seriously itching to get into it for any reason ever since, but it's not sexy enough for my night life and way to chic for class, so since I FINALLY made it to church this morning I found it to be the perfect chance to pull it out. It's a cream, black and grey. Everyone and their Mother has been rocking the single strap sandal, I never bothered automatically assuming my feet are way to wide for that, but I stumbled across these at Forever 21 and their surprisingly comfortable. The blazer is like 3 years old from Torrid.  I absolutely love this look!

P.S. Ignore the icky quality, I'm camera shopping so until I find one, you're stuck with my S3 quality. lol

Now.... even tho it's technically Spring, New York has NOT gotten the memo and there's still patches of snow on the sidewalks round here and my toes were NOT having this mess so I ended up changing it up with my Red Jessica Simpson Waleo heels.

Tell Me Watcha Think!!!!

Allow me to reintroduce myself...

Heeeeyyyyyy!!!! I'm Dom or D_Vixon via twitter and IG land. I've finally stopped my procrastination and decided to create this blog for a few reasons...

1) I'm oooohh so very far from most of my favorite people (I moved from Oregon to New York last year) and the transition is still... well transitioning, and I'm ready to start sharing my experiences... cuz BOY do I have some experiences!

2) Over the last few yrs I've really come into my own with embracing my curves and building my confidence and I'd love to have a chance to help motivate and uplift other women of ALL shapes and sizes to do the same...

and lastly, I'm here for THE FASHION! I love it ALL, from Saks to Salvation Army! I want to not only feature trends, the newest looks and seasoned classics. Individuality IS fashion.

Sooooo with that said, Welcome to Vannah Loves Dior :)
